CodeQuest is an interactive game that offers an engaging and educational experience for preschool and early elementary students, focusing on teaching coding logic. This game is designed to cater to blind, visually impaired, and sighted students, making it suitable for an entire class.

With CodeQuest, students can easily learn coding through a series of grids that progressively increase in difficulty as they advance. Players assist an astronaut in finding his way back to his ship by creating a set of commands to guide him. The faster players can solve the puzzle with the fewest steps, the higher their score will be. As the game progresses, the complexity of the grids introduces important concepts such as sequencing and looping.

In addition to providing fun gameplay and coding concepts, CodeQuest also helps develop computational thinking skills in students. This includes their ability to develop problem-solving solutions, identify patterns and trends, and evaluate various potential solutions.

Tactile graphic design files of the grids are available for download on the website www.aph.org by searching for "CodeQuest". Additionally, design files for three tactile grid boards and various manipulatives, including the astronaut, rocket ship, alien, and arrow tiles, are also available for laser-cutting or 3D-printing.
